As 6G networks take shape, the digital ecosystem is becoming more powerful – but also significantly more exposed. The expansion of connectivity, intelligence, and programmability dramatically increases the cyberattack surface, making traditional security approaches no longer sufficient.
How can we design security that is adaptive, programmable and future-proof?
This webinar introduces the Horizon Europe MARE project, which addresses this challenge by redefining how security is built and validated in next-generation networks.
Starting from January 2025, MARE is developing a coordinated framework to enhance security and privacy in 6G ecosystems, leveraging and aligning with ongoing European and international 6G architecture initiatives.
At its core, MARE introduces a two-fold innovation:
  • A programmable Security Plane, enabling on-demand composition of security functions from atomic building blocks called DOTs, supporting both proactive and reactive protection strategies.
  • An advanced simulation and emulation environment, allowing stakeholders to test and validate security mechanisms before deployment, reducing risk and improving resilience.
This webinar will showcase the project’s vision, architecture, and early results, while also fostering dialogue and collaboration with other SNS-JU initiatives and the broader research and innovation community.
